In life, there is much to be thankful for. From a cool evening breeze to the sound of children’s laughter, we relish experiences that remind us of the joy of living. And as we go through our life, we are constantly reminded of the contributions of others that have gone before us. Whether it be famous landmarks, such as Mr. Rushmore, or our child’s graduation, we are surrounded by legacy.

The poets and readers who have participated in Move Me Poetry over the years understand the importance of legacy, it is one of the reasons that we write. To have a record of the myriad of feelings and experiences that make up life on planet Earth. We desire to be known, to be seen, to be remembered, and our writings share these feelings with the world, with our loved ones, with ourselves…
