Soaring

Heart held song
In echoed chambers

Passion purchased with
Ichor-ed intentions

Screaming shrieks and
Manic moans

Fleshly fields from
Fiasco-ed frustrations

Tempests time measured
In bloody beats

Tearing tears from eyes
In crueler cuts

Dismembered remembrances
Bring broken promises to crimson lights

As all pours into
Calamity’s cauldron

I stir the starry mixture
Mindful of more misgivings

Seasoning it all
In loving lines of loss

My transformation assured
As I drink the dregs
Of old intentions

Fire’s fragrant flares
Burning down my soul

And making mourning
Into morning
